Oryann Tsaig is a passionate and versatile musician based in NYC. She has performed worldwide both as a chamber and orchestral player. She currently is a violist in underStaffed, she performs with different groups and orchestras in the NYC area, and is a viola and ear training teacher. Oryann received her Bachelor Degree in Viola Performance and Violin/Viola Instruction from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music under Dr. Lilach Levanon, followed by a Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music under Patinka Kopec and Molly Carr. Oryann has performed worldwide in major music halls such as Carnegie Hall, Berliner Philharmonie, Rudolfinum, Sala São Paulo, Charles Bronfman Auditorium, The Estates Theater, Lincoln Center Auditorium and more. She began her piano studies at the age of 6, followed by 3 years of violin studies at ages 7-10. When she got accepted to the Thelma Yellin high school of arts as a pianist, she decided to begin Viola at the age of 15. She joined the Jerusalem Music Center and participated in chamber ensembles, and led the Viola section at the Thelma Yellin Symphony Orchestra. Oryann served the Israeli army for 2 years as a recruiter for volunteer soldiers. Oryann played under renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Lahav Shani, Manfred Honeck, Ivan Fischer and more. She participated in several music festivals such as Maine Chamber Music Seminar, The Irish Chamber Orchestra Project, International Orchestra Institute Attergau and Prague Summer Nights, where she premiered a string quartet by composer Sylvia Bodorova at the Suk Hall of the Rudolfinum, and led the viola section for a month of 2 operas and 5 different symphonies performances. Recently Oryann was a featured performer at the Midsummer’s Music Griffon String Quartet in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Oryann is the recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and The Manhattan School of Music’s Scholarship Awards. In her free time Oryann likes to do yoga and hike.

Jonathan Frelix (violin), a native from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was first introduced to the violin at a young age. Extremely curious, he joined the strings program at Rowan Elementary School, oblivious to the profound impact that music would have on his life. The violin not only helped him expand his perspective but he also gained valuable skills that one can only achieve through the dedication and commitment to mastering a craft or self-development. Outside of music, Jonathan enjoys roller skating, hiking, playing spades, shooting pool, and having wholesome conversations with friends. A graduate from William Carey University, Jonathan received his bachelor's degree in Music Education. Through the violin he aims to inspire and encourage young people to cultivate and nurture the gifts that they already possess. Jonathan is inspired by Ralph Waldo Emerson words: "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."

Deborah has performed in underStaffed for several concerts cycles under the baton of Elliot Roman. She was a member of the New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) for 6 years, spending her last 3 years as the Principal Cellist. During her time in NYYS she has performed at Carnegie Hall, on CNN with Billy Ray Cyrus, embarked on a tour in Spain in the summer of 2019, and has performed at the Vessel at Hudson Yards in NYC. In addition, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Deborah took part in the recoridng of a studio album that was released by NYYS in the spring of 2022, which eventually went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Orchestral Performance in 2023. After her time at NYYS, she is now a dental student at NYU College of Dentistry, but still remains passionate about classical music and tries to find as many opportunities to perform as she can.

Jon Paul (JP) Bernabe is a New Jersey-based musician that regularly freelances and teaches in the NY metropolitan area. He has been fortunate enough to share the stage with the top names in music, such as the Kronos Quartet, the Cavani Quartet, Julia Bullock, and Vijay Gupta. Prestigious venues that he has performed in include Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall. With a passion for chamber music, JP has participated in festivals such as the Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Bang On A Can Summer Music Festival. He is also a proud member of the newly formed group, underStaffed - a collective of musicians dedicated to sharing classical music to those who might not be as familiar with the genre. As a skilled educator, JP holds a private teaching studio in the area and is a Teaching Artist with the NJ Symphony Youth Orchestra. JP is currently a student at the Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, pursuing his Bachelors of Music in Double Bass Performance under the tutelage of Jeremy McCoy. JP casually engages with other genres of music, such as jazz, pop, and R&B. Outside of music, JP enjoys cooking, watching films, and reading.
